Job summary

YMCA Calgary is a charity focused on youth and community wellbeing, offering programs across 7 wellness facilities, 6 childcare centres, 2 camps and 12+ programs. The Outreach Supervisor role starts immediately and pays $48,786–$60,982 per year, with membership benefits and development opportunities.

Responsibilities include evening/weekend availability, program design, budgeting and reporting while ensuring safety and fostering youth engagement and community connections.

Qualifications

• Experience in strength-based engagement with youth and young adults (14–25).
• Knowledge of physical literacy, sports and day camps is an asset.
• Degree or certification in counselling or social work is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Availability within evenings and some weekends (Mon–Fri 11am–7:30pm; location dependent).
• Engage proactively with youth ages 14–25 and solicit feedback to shape engagement opportunities.
• Design and run programming with branches and external partners.
• Support events, meetings and related duties; ensure participant safety.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders and manage program budgets.
