Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Yardi Support Specialist (Contract)to manage day-to-day application support and technical troubleshooting across our residential, commercial, and construction portfolios. In this role, you will support the Manager, Enterprise with the enterprise migration from Yardi Voyager 7s to Voyager Virtuoso Enterprise/Voyager 8. You will serve as the first line of technical assistance for system users, resolving Tier-1 tickets, diagnosing property-level accounting discrepancies, and maintaining user permissions and data integrity across Yardi Voyager.

You will work across multiple business functions and collaborate with users at various levels of the organization, developing a strong understanding of both Yardi functionality and the operational processes it supports.

Key Responsibilities

• Tier-1 Help Desk & User Support: Manage and resolve incoming support tickets via Freshdesk within agreed SLAs; assist on-site property managers, leasing staff, project managers, and central accounting teams.
• System Administration & Permissions: Maintain user accounts, role-based security permissions, menu sets, property access, and user provisioning/deprovisioning across portfolios.
• Accounting & Financial Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve accounting tie-out discrepancies, subledger-to-general ledger out-of-balance conditions, cash receipt issues, charge adjustments, and bank reconciliation errors.
• Portfolio-Specific Support:
  • Residential: Troubleshoot tenant ledger issues, move-in/move-out workflows, rent rolls, and renewal processing.
  • Commercial: Provide assistance with commercial lease setups, recurring billings, escalation recoveries, and tenant chargebacks.
  • Construction / Job Cost: Assist project teams with job cost allocations, contract/purchase order tracking, invoice routing, and budget adjustments.
• Documentation & Training: Create quick-reference guides, standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation, and conduct introductory Yardi training for new hires.
• Testing & System Enhancements: Participate in testing new system modules, reports, workflow automations, and scheduled version upgrades.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required:

• Yardi Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on technical or power-user experience with Yardi Voyager 7s.
• Accounting Knowledge: Solid grasp of core property management accounting principles (AP, AR, GL, bank recs, subledger-to-GL tie-outs, journal entries).
• Ticketing Systems: Experience handling support queues, SLA tracking, and ticket escalation workflows (experience with Freshdesk strongly preferred).
• Multi-Asset Familiarity: Prior experience supporting residential and commercial operations.
• Communication & Problem-Solving: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to diagnose functional user errors patiently and clearly document solutions.

Assets / Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Yardi Voyager 8 and Yardi Virtuoso.
• Experience with Yardi Construction / Job Costing modules.
• Familiarity with Yardi add-ons (RentCafe, VendorCafe, Payscan, SmartAP).
