Job summary

RONA in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, is hiring for a Lumberyard Associate to help customers with lumber and building materials and to load products safely. You will also verify invoices and support stock organization in a busy yard setting.

You should be able to lift 25 pounds and have knowledge of building materials. Accommodation requests during interviews will be considered to ensure accessibility.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Knowledge of building materials is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for their lumber and building material needs.
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently.
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided.
• Assist with the daily upkeep of the department including off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers.
• Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard.
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly.
