Job summary

RONA is seeking a motivated lumberyard associate to join our team. You will provide expert advice on lumber and building materials and assist customers with loading product safely and efficiently.

You’ll also check invoices for accuracy and participate in unloading trucks and organizing stock. Daily duties include price labelling, pallet upkeep, maintaining a clean, safe work area, and supporting opening and closing tasks in the Yard.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is beneficial.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Knowledge of building materials is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with expert advice for lumber and building material needs.
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently.
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided.
• Maintain daily upkeep of the department including unloading trucks, organizing stock, labeling prices, and maintaining pallets.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers.
• Handle opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard.
• Perform other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly.

Your role:

• Assist with the daily upkeep of the department including off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers
• Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly
