Job summary

RONA in Lindsay, ON is hiring for a Lumberyard team member to provide expert advice on lumber and building materials and to help load products for customers. You’ll help with stock, pricing, and keeping the yard clean and safe.

Ideal candidates will be able to lift 25 pounds and have knowledge of building materials; training and advancement opportunities are available within the company.

Qualifications

• Must-have: ability to lift 25 pounds. Knowledge of building materials is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for lumber and building material needs.
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently.
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided.
• Assist with daily upkeep of the department including unloading trucks, organizing stock, and maintaining pallets/stock.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers.
• Open and close duties as needed in the Yard.
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly.

Your role:

• Assist with the daily upkeep of the department including off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers
• Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly
