Job summary

RONA in Elmsdale, NS is seeking a Yard Associate to help customers with lumber and building materials. You’ll load products, check invoices, and keep the yard clean and organized.

Candidates should be able to lift 25 pounds and have knowledge of building materials; training and advancement opportunities are provided, along with benefits and employee discounts.

Your role:

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for their lumber and building material needs
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided
• Assist with the daily upkeep of the department including off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers
• Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly
