Job summary

RONA is seeking a Yard Supervisor to ensure the yard operates efficiently and delivers a positive customer experience. You will manage product flow, oversee loading, and uphold safety standards while guiding yard staff.

This role suits someone who thrives outdoors, can train and mentor team members, open/close shifts, and maintain cleanliness and stock accuracy. Previous lumber and forklift experience is an asset; exceptional customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• Strong problem solving and time management capabilities are essential.
• Able to work outside in all conditions.
• Ability to lead by example and delegate expectations.
• Detail oriented with a focus on safe work practices.
• Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Previous lumber and forklift experience is a great asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to ensure every customer has a great experience.
• Assist customers to load product into their vehicles.
• Assist with daily department upkeep: unload trucks, sort lumber, organize stock, clean, label prices, and maintain pallets.
• Direct, mentor and assist yard team members as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers.
• Perform opening and closing duties and maintain safety commitments.

The Yard Supervisor is responsible to ensure the yard is operating efficiently resulting in a positive customer experience. The Yard Supervisor manages the product flow and arrangement, oversees the customer loading process, and ensures safety is top of mind for all yard employees. Your role:

• Lead by example, ensuring every customer has a great experience
• Assist RONA customers to load product into their vehicles
• Assist with the daily upkeep of the department by off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, & maintaining pallets/stock
• Direct, mentor and assist yard team members as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers
• Opening and closing duties
• Maintain 100% commitment to a safe environment
