Job summary

RONA is seeking a dedicated Lumberyard Associate to help customers with lumber and building materials. You will load products, verify invoices, and maintain a safe, organized yard environment in a busy hardware store setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Knowledge of building materials is an asset.
• Provide expert advice to customers on lumber and building materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for their lumber and building material needs.
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided
• Assist with daily upkeep of the department including unloading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labeling, and maintaining pallets/stock
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers
• Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly
