Techo-Bloc is seeking a Yard Forklift Operator to support loading and moving concrete products in our outdoor yard. The role requires strong safety awareness and the ability to operate a sit-down forklift on a nightly schedule.

You will stage orders, load trucks, and perform pre-checks to ensure efficient, accurate shipments. This physically demanding position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety protocols, and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator's competency card (or renewed)
• 1 year minimum experience operating a sit-down forklift
• Self-motivated and proactive attitude

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a propane sit-down forklift in an outdoor yard
• Pick and stage products according to shipping orders
• Load customer and company trucks accurately and efficiently
• Transport products throughout the yard to support operations
• Perform daily pre-operational inspections and report defects
• Maintain awareness of pedestrians, trucks and yard traffic
• Follow all safety procedures and forklift capacity limits
• Keep equipment clean and in good working condition
• Assist with yard organization and housekeeping
• Follow company health and safety policies
• Perform other related duties as required

Job Description

$23.69 to $24.16/hour

Night shift: Monday to Thursday, 4 PM to 4 AM

Your Role

As a Yard Forklift Operator, you play a key role in ensuring customer orders are loaded accurately, efficiently, and safely. Working in an outdoor environment, you will be responsible for locating, moving, and loading concrete products throughout the yard while maintaining a strong focus on safety and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a propane sit-down forklift in a busy outdoor yard environment.
• Pick and stage products according to shipping orders.
• Load customer and company trucks accurately and efficiently.
• Transport products and materials throughout the yard to support operations.
• Perform daily pre-operational inspections of equipment and report any defects or mechanical issues.
• Maintain awareness of pedestrians, trucks, equipment, and yard traffic at all times.
• Follow safe operating procedures and forklift capacity limits.
• Keep equipment clean and in good working condition.
• Assist with yard organization and housekeeping to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as required.

This is a physically demanding position. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23kg). Manual dexterity, teamwork, hand-eye co-ordination and a combination of sitting, standing and walking required.
