Job summary

Techo-Bloc Inc. is seeking a Yard Forklift Operator to load, move, and stage concrete products in our outdoor yard. You will operate a propane sit-down forklift, follow safety procedures, and assist with yard organization to ensure accurate and on-time order fulfillment.

You will work day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with competitive hourly pay and opportunities for growth within a growing North American company.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator's competency card (or renewal).
• Minimum 1 year experience as sit-down forklift operator.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Punctual.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a propane sit-down forklift in an outdoor yard.
• Pick and stage products according to shipping orders.
• Load customer and company trucks accurately and efficiently.
• Transport products and materials throughout the yard to support operations.
• Perform daily pre-operational inspections of equipment and report defects or issues.
• Maintain awareness of pedestrians, trucks, equipment, and yard traffic.
• Follow safe operating procedures and forklift capacity limits.
• Keep equipment clean and in good working condition.
• Assist with yard organization and housekeeping for safety and efficiency.
• Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Job Description

Pay : $23.69/h to $24.16/h
Day shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Your Role

As a Yard Forklift Operator, you play a key role in ensuring customer orders are loaded accurately, efficiently, and safely. Working in an outdoor environment, you will be responsible for locating, moving, and loading concrete products throughout the yard while maintaining a strong focus on safety and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a propane sit-down forklift in a busy outdoor yard environment.
• Pick and stage products according to shipping orders.
• Load customer and company trucks accurately and efficiently.
• Transport products and materials throughout the yard to support operations.
• Perform daily pre-operational inspections of equipment and report any defects or mechanical issues.
• Maintain awareness of pedestrians, trucks, equipment, and yard traffic at all times.
• Follow safe operating procedures and forklift capacity limits.
• Keep equipment clean and in good working condition.
• Assist with yard organization and housekeeping to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a sit-down forklift operator (1 year minimum)

This is a physically demanding position. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23kg). Manual dexterity, teamwork, hand-eye co-ordination and a combination of sitting, standing and walking required.
