Job summary

RONA in Baie-Comeau, Canada, is seeking a full-time Dispatch and Yard Associate to support our lumberyard operations. You’ll help customers, load products safely, check invoices, and maintain stock and a tidy yard to ensure a great shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Knowledge of building materials is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for lumber and building material needs.
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently.
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided.
• Assist with daily upkeep: unloading trucks, organizing stock, labeling, and maintaining pallets/stock.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers; opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard.

Your role

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for their lumber and building material needs
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently

• Assist with the daily upkeep of the department including off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customersOpening and closing duties as needed in the Yard
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly
