Job summary

Sofina Foods Inc. is seeking a Claims Coordinator at the Burlington Plant to support WSIB claims, non-work leaves, and disability management programs. This role handles claim tracking, supports RTW, and coordinates accommodation plans.

You will liaise with WSIB, employees, supervisors, HR and health and safety partners, lead return-to-work meetings, maintain files, and report metrics for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Health and Safety, Kinesiology, Health Sciences, Human Resources, or related field
• Experience in WSIB claims management and RTW coordination

Responsibilities

• Submit illness/injury claims to WSIB to meet deadlines.
• Collect information for Employer Report of Injury for lost time and modified duty injuries.
• Review information for WSIB policy compliance and flag issues.
• Liaise with WSIB and communicate with employees, supervisors, HR and Health & Safety partners.
• Lead return to work meetings and monitor RW plans.
• Coordinate regular update meetings with Burlington Plant stakeholders.
• Escalate complex claims to internal/external resources.
• Maintain claim files and data for reporting and auditing.
• Advise management on RW and accommodation progress while respecting privacy.
• Support workers' compensation appeals.
• Report key metrics for continuous improvement of disability management.
