Job summary

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking a Floor Supervisor to provide leadership to the employees of the Police Seized Vehicle Section (PSVS). Major responsibilities include supervising staff training, designing and monitoring workload distribution, and ensuring all administrative tasks related to release, sale or disposal of seized vehicles are completed.

Qualifications

• Completion of the twelfth (12th) school grade, including business subjects with emphasis on general office practices, or completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved business school/college and a minimum of three (3) year's progressively responsible and diversified office experience including demonstrated supervisory capability OR Completion of the twelfth (12th) school grade including business subjects with emphasis on subjects related to the area of specialization or completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved business school/college, and a minimum of three (3) year's progressively responsible experience in the area of specialization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate employees.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to perform under stressful conditions.
• Working knowledge of the statute law as it applies to the GOA Abandoned Vehicle Disposal Program would be considered an asset.

Hours of Work

33.75 hours per week. This position will work a four week rotation (which will include one weekend). Weekday hours will be 0630-1430, weekend hours will be 0900-1700. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hours of work program.

Salary Range

21M, Salary Grade: 012, $30.31 - $38.01 (Hourly); $2,046.30 - $2,565.80 (Bi-Weekly); $53,407.45 - $66,967.64 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.
