The Nelson Waldorf School is seeking applications for a part-time Woodwork Teacher for grades 5 to 9. The position is available for the 2025–2026 school year, with the contract beginning mid-August 2025.

The Woodwork teacher will bring joy and enthusiasm for teaching woodworking. Key qualities include strong safety-oriented shop teaching, communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a class of up to 15 students and should have excellent class management and organizational skills.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Reports to: Principal of the School
Terms of Employment: Permanent, part-time (approximately 0.55 FTE; $30,000 to $35,000), plus benefits (health, disability, life insurance, and tuition), with increments for related experience.
Education and Skill Requirements:
Completion of Waldorf Teacher Training with a clear understanding of Rudolf Steiner’s education philosophy is preferred, or willingness to undertake Waldorf training.
