Craftsmen Woodworks & Layout Studios (AWDS) in Ontario is seeking a skilled Timber Finisher to join our wood finishing team. You will apply lacquers, stains, and clear coats, match colours, and prepare surfaces on cabinetry and millwork to a high standard.

This permanent, full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage of 25–38 CAD, health benefits, and an adaptable schedule. Must be able to work with wood species, operate shop tools, and collaborate with project supervisors to meet deliverables.

Qualifications

• Experience with wood finishing, lacquers, paints or stains.
• Ability to match colors and combine stains.
• Experience in cabinet making is an asset.
• Maintain high quality and attention to detail.
• Able to work with solid woods, veneers, MDF/HDF.
• Strong teamwork and independent work capability.
• Self-motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare wooden and MDF surfaces for stain and lacquer finishes.
• Sand, prime, stain and/or spray millwork and cabinets.
• Apply finishes including spray lacquer, spray paint, stain, and oil.
• Prepare items for surface applications by hand and with shop tools.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace free of sawdust and debris.
• Maintain and clean tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with supervision to meet deliverables.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.

THE ROLE

Coverage to the Store Supervisor, the effective candidate will certainly be an energised as well as experienced timber finisher. VITAL OBLIGATIONS
