Job summary

Cabico is seeking a skilled painter to join our production team in Sherbrooke. You will apply paint, stain, and finishes to cabinetry using a spray gun, ensuring high-quality appearance and durability.

The role includes 40 hours per week with an evening shift Monday to Thursday, 3:45 p.m. to 1:45 a.m., and a starting wage of 23.36 CAD/hour plus a 2.00 CAD/hour evening premium.

Qualifications

  • Experience painting cabinetry or wood products.
  • Knowledge of wood types, stains, varnishes, paints.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Comfortable in dusty environments with varying temperatures and strong odours.

Responsibilities

Job description

In this role, you will use spray guns and related tools and equipment to apply paint, stain, and other finishes to cabinetry and cabinet components. As part of our production team, you will help ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, appearance, and durability.

The successful candidate will contribute to the success of the company by assuming the following responsibilities:

  • Apply paint and other finishes to cabinets and components using a spray gun, following established techniques and processes to match provided colour samples.
  • Meet quality, productivity, and scheduling standards safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure cabinets, materials, and components are complete, compliant, and finished on time.
  • Identify and report defects or inconsistencies in materials, components, or finishes.
  • Represent, support, and uphold the company’s Core Values and Management Philosophy.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination.
