Job summary

PJB Construction Ltd. in Toronto, ON is seeking a full-time cabinet staining and finishing role across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

You will stain, finish, glaze, and seal cabinets, and work in a millwork/prefab shop environment. The position requires at least 1 year of experience and the ability to learn while complying with health and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience staining and finishing cabinets.
• Ability to learn and develop practical skills.
• Capable of observing all health and safety codes.

Responsibilities

• Stain or finish cabinets to a color using brushes or spray guns.
• Apply toners, highlights, glazes or shaders to achieve the finish.
• Apply lacquer or other sealers.
• Smooth and shine the surfaces of cabinets.
• Sand surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products.

Wage: $26.00 per hour (full-time position; 35 hours/week)

Job Description:

• Stain or finish cabinets to a certain colour with stains, paints or other materials using a brush or spray gun
• Apply toners, highlights, glazes or shaders to achieve the desired finish
• Apply lacquer or other sealers
• Smooth and shine the surfaces of cabinets
• Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products

Work Conditions:

Physically demanding; bending, crouching, kneeling; combination of sitting, standing, walking

Work Site Environment:

Noisy, Dusty

Work Setting:

Job Requirements:
