Job summary

YWCA Regina Inc. is seeking an Outreach Housing Coordinator to support individuals and families facing housing instability through housing-first, trauma-informed practices.

The role focuses on sustainable access to housing, safety, and food security, building trust and respectful relationships. You will work collaboratively across teams to deliver service, manage administrative duties, and coordinate case management efforts for clients with complex needs, including Indigenous communities.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals and families experiencing homelessness and complex needs.
  • 2-3 years in human service delivery or related field.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care concepts is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with good documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Service Delivery for housing support and client services.
  • Administrative duties and record-keeping for client interactions.
  • Coordinate access to housing resources and shelter referrals.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement housing-first strategies.

Job description

The Outreach Housing Coordinator supports individuals and families experiencing complex needs connected to housing instability to improve sustainable access to housing, safety, and food security. They build relationships through trust and respect and ensure that all actions taken are delivered through a housing-first and trauma-informed perspective.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience working with the complex needs of people experiencing homelessness
  • 2-3 years of demonstrated experience in the field of human service delivery
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and cultures
  • 2-3 years of case management experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of the Child Welfare system, Trauma Inform ed Care, and Family Violence would be an asset
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently and with a team
  • Strong record-keeping ability and basic computer skills
  • Effective communication and organizational abilities
  • Crisis intervention skills
  • Cultural awareness and respect for women and children of various backgrounds
