Job summary

Saskatchewan Polytechnic Prince Albert Campus is seeking a part-time Women In Trades & Technology (WITT) Coordinator to coordinate and deliver WITT programs, build relationships with students and partners, and promote female participation in trades and technology.

The role requires a Grade 12 or equivalent, a journeyperson certificate or tech diploma, two years' relevant experience, and strong instructional and communication skills; some travel and evening/weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Journeyperson certificate or recognized technology diploma/degree.
• Two years' recent and relevant work experience.
• Familiarity with WITT philosophy and operations.
• Ability to work with girls and women in structured/non-structured settings.
• Effective instructional and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with internet, email, MS Office; adaptable to technology.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement WITT programs with the facilitator.
• Provide instruction in programs as required.
• Build relationships with students, program heads, instructors, partners, and divisions.
• Provide campus WITT communications via media relations and social media.
• Provide documentation and follow-up reports.
• Advise girls and women regarding careers in trades and technology.
• Some travel required; some evening and weekend work.
