Job summary

The Saskatchewan Polytechnic Prince Albert Campus is seeking an adjunct to coordinate and deliver WITT programs for girls and women in trades or technology. The role involves building relationships with students, program heads, instructors and community partners, and delivering presentations and outreach across campus.

You will provide documentation and follow-up reports, support campus communications, and contribute to the Inclusive Excellence strategy while working some evenings and weekends

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Completion of a journeyperson certificate or technology diploma/degree.
  • Two years’ recent and relevant work experience within the last five years.
  • Familiarity with WITT philosophy and operations.
  • Ability to work with girls and women in a structured/non-structured setting.
  • Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
  • Effective instructional ability.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills.
  • Training and/or experience in the use of common software packages, i.e. MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction in programs as required.

  • Provide campus WITT communications through media relations, social media etc.
  • Provide appropriate documentation and follow-up reports.
  • Provide guidance and advice to girls and women in respect to women in careers in trades or technology.
  • Some travel required. Some evening and weekend work required.
