Job summary

The Resort Municipality of Whistler is seeking an Equipment Operator III in the Roads department for the winter program. You will operate and service snow removal equipment and support maintenance and construction of winter road projects to keep the public traveling safely.

Expect to provide a safe transportation network while helping minimize flood risk; strong communication and teamwork are essential for a positive, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma plus 2–4 years of snow removal experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in a similar role operating and servicing heavy equipment (dump/plow trucks, loaders, graders, backhoes).
• Extensive knowledge of tools, machinery and safe work practices related to road worksites.
• Record of safe and efficient operation and knowledge of local roadways and boundaries.
• Physical strength and stamina for medium to heavy outdoor work in all weather.
