Job summary

Ledcor Highways Ltd. is hiring for winter seasonal road maintenance across Alberta. Responsibilities include operating snowplows and heavy equipment to keep highways safe during the winter season from October to April.

Applicants should have a Class 1-3 license, be physically able to perform demanding tasks, and be prepared for variable shifts and on-call work. Benefits include training, RSPs and opportunities for advancement within Ledcor.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Class 1, 2 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement.
• Clear 3-year driving abstract.
• Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required.
• Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways including assisting with Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.).
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
