Job summary

Ledcor Highways Ltd. is hiring for winter casual road maintenance across Alberta from Oct 1 to Apr 30. If you hold a Class 1, 2 or 3 license and want to work for a company that values safety, community and career growth, apply now.

You’ll operate snowplow trucks and other heavy equipment, and help keep Alberta highways safe while working locally. Roles involve on-call duties, night shifts, and working outside in all weather.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing will be completed.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Class 1, 2 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement.
• Clear 3-year driver’s abstract.
• Experience operating snowplow trucks or wheel loaders is a strong asset, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders and other heavy equipment.
• Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways and assist with labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation).
• Be available for on-call work to assist with weather events, emergencies and staffing needs.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
