Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. seeks casual winter road maintenance staff to keep Alberta highways safe from October 1 to April 30. You will operate heavy equipment and perform routine highway maintenance in a local community with on-call shifts and variable hours.

Qualified applicants have a Class 1–3 license with air endorsement, pass drug testing, and are comfortable working outdoors in all weather. Training is provided, with premiums for winter operations and location-based boosts.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
• Physically demanding tasks with lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Class 1, 2, or 3 license with air endorsement and clean driving record.
• 3-year driver’s abstract required; prior snowplow/wheel loader experience is an asset (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders and other heavy equipment as required.
• Maintain Alberta highways and assist with labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, etc.).
• Be available for on-call work for weather events and emergencies.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
