Job summary

Ledcor Highways Ltd. in Alberta seeks winter casual road maintenance workers to keep highways safe in local communities from Oct 1 to Apr 30.

If you have a Class 1/2/3 license with air endorsement and enjoy working outdoors in varying weather, we want to hear from you. You will operate snowplow trucks and heavy equipment, perform labour tasks like crack sealing and pothole repair, and be available on-call for weather events and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Successful completion pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Class 1, 2 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement.
• Clear 3-year driver’s abstract.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders and other heavy equipment as required.
• Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways including Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.).
• Be available for on call work to assist with weather events, emergencies and staff coverage as needed.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
