Job summary

Wood Automotive Group is seeking a knowledgeable Wholesale Parts Advisor for our Calgary Parts Department. You will support wholesale customers by phone, email and electronic ordering systems, identifying and sourcing parts, quoting prices and processing orders.

Key duties include verifying part numbers, managing deliveries, and maintaining accurate account information while delivering friendly, professional service to repair shops, collision centres and other wholesale clients.

Qualifications

  • Experience identifying, sourcing and quoting automotive parts.
  • Excellent telephone and email communication with wholesale customers.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization for high-volume inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to wholesale parts inquiries by phone, email and electronic ordering systems.
  • Identify, source and quote automotive parts accurately.
  • Process wholesale orders, invoices, returns and special orders.

  • Coordinate with warehouse and drivers to ensure timely order completion.

Job description

The Wood Automotive Group is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Wholesale Parts Advisor to join our dealership’s Parts Department. This is an in-dealership position supporting wholesale customers by phone, email and electronic ordering systems. No regular travel or outside sales is required.

About the Role

The Wholesale Parts Advisor is responsible for assisting automotive repair facilities, collision centres and other wholesale customers with their parts needs. The successful candidate will accurately identify and source parts, prepare quotes, process orders and provide timely follow-up while building strong, long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to wholesale parts inquiries by phone, email and electronic ordering systems.
  • Accurately identify, source and quote automotive parts.
  • Process wholesale orders, invoices, returns, credits and special orders.
  • Verify part numbers, pricing, availability and estimated delivery times.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse, delivery drivers and dealership departments to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
  • Follow up on outstanding orders, backorders and customer requests.
  • Maintain accurate customer, order and account information within dealership systems.
  • Provide knowledgeable, professional and courteous customer service.
  • Assist with inventory control and other Parts Department duties as required.
  • Support the achievement of departmental sales, productivity and customer-service goals.
Qualifications
  • Previous automotive parts experience is preferred.
  • Wholesale parts or dealership experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong automotive parts knowledge and the ability to interpret parts catalogues.
  • Experience with dealership management systems and electronic parts-ordering platforms is an asset.
  • Excellent telephone, communication and customer-service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of inquiries and prioritize competing demands.Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced dealership environment.
  • Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record may be required.
