Job summary

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is seeking seasonal dining staff to assist with guest orders, cash handling, and maintaining a welcoming dining area. You will help guests with information, support event setup, and work flexible shifts reflecting peak guest times.

Ideal candidates have a Serving It Right certificate or equivalent, prior customer service and cash handling experience, and the ability to operate POS software. This role offers competitive wages and mountain access perks.

Qualifications

• Serving It Right certificate required.
• Experience in customer service and cash handling.
• Proficiency with POS software.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Comfort operating a snowmobile with a loaded trailer.
• Food service experience preferred.
• OFA Level 3 is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Take and enter guest food & beverage orders in an accurate and timely manner.
• Perform all cash handling duties (opening, cash balancing, coin orders and closing).
• Clean and stock the dining area to provide a pleasant environment for our guests.

• Provide information or assistance to guests (special events, conditions, locations, products).
• Contribute in the setup, execution and take-down of functions and special events.
• Perform related duties as requested by Team Leads and Managers.
• Participate in season open and closure procedures.
• Ensure other team members are supported in their roles as necessary.
• Work flexible shifts with varying hours, primarily working between 24 to 40 hours per week.

• Perform all cash handling duties (opening, cash balancing, coin orders and closing).
• Clean and stock the dining area to provide a pleasant environment for our guests.
• Demonstrate a commitment to exceeding guests’ expectations on a daily basis.
• Provide information or assistance to guests (special events, conditions, locations, products).
• Contribute in the setup, execution and take-down of functions and special events.

You Have

• Serving It Right or other responsible service of liquor certificate.
• Previous experience in a customer service and cash handling role.
• Proficiency with Point-of-Sale (POS) software.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• The physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs, perform manual tasks, and stand for extended periods
• The ability to withstand exposure to extreme weather conditions in a mountain environment.
• Comfort operating a snowmobile while pulling a loaded trailer.
• Previous food service or preparation experience (an asset).
• Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 3 (an asset).
