Desjardins is seeking a Section Manager, Property Claims Operations (West Region) to oversee a multi-functional property damage team across the Western region. You will leverage leadership, decision-making, and operational expertise to deepen local market knowledge, enhance customer experience, and ensure indemnity accuracy.

The role emphasizes delivering exceptional claims service, operational excellence, and high team performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• 7+ years of experience including 2+ years in management.
• Property & Casualty Insurance experience.
• CIP designation completed or in progress.
• Excellent English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop high-performing property damage claims teams focused on service excellence and results.
• Review operational and claims performance metrics to identify trends, mitigate risks, and achieve business targets.
• Execute strategic action plans that support departmental goals, service standards, and organizational priorities.
• Champion a culture of change, inclusion, talent development, and employee engagement.
• Deliver business results through effective management of individual and team performance.
• Enhance member and client satisfaction by acting on customer feedback and improving the claims experience.
• Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and consistency in property damage claims operations.
