Job summary

Desjardins is seeking a property and casualty claims advisor to serve members and clients on all claims with emphasis on high-complexity property claims and medium-complexity accident benefits and bodily injury claims. You will investigate, approve, negotiate settlements and enter into agreements with clients and third parties.

Qualifications

• General college diploma in a related field.
• Minimum of four years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of French is required.
• Advanced proficiency of English due to duties and tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and inspections to assess damage, estimate costs and market value, and produce and review reports to determine settlement amounts.
• Analyze medical, financial and job information to determine eligibility for benefits.
• Settle claims in accordance with policies, standards and contract terms, meeting deadlines.
• Negotiate with all parties involved to ensure smooth claims processing.
