Desjardins seeks a property and casualty insurance claims advisor to manage high-complexity property claims and medium-complexity accident benefits and bodily injury claims. You will investigate, approve claims, negotiate settlements and support clients and members across the network.

The role requires strong analytical skills, sound decision-making, and excellent interpersonal abilities. French language required, English proficiency advanced, and travel within the Greater Montréal area may be

Qualifications

• General college diploma required
• Minimum of four years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of French is required
• Advanced English proficiency due to duties/tools
• Willingness to travel within Greater Montréal area and surrounding regions; valid driver's license and vehicle access

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and inspections to assess damage, estimate costs and determine settlement amounts
• Analyze medical, financial and job information to determine benefit eligibility
• Settle claims in accordance with standards, policies and contract terms and meet deadlines
• Negotiate with all parties involved to ensure smooth claims processing
