Job summary

Yourchamber in Alberta is seeking a Welder Fabricator for production welding, prototype builds and repairs in a fast-paced shop. You will read blueprints and fabricate metal structures using MIG, ARC and TIG as needed.

Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, maintain safety practices, and assist in training junior staff and apprentices to meet customer specifications and project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
• Possess Red Seal or CWB certification and valid welding certifications.
• Ability to operate welding equipment across multiple processes.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
• Operate welding equipment to fuse metal segments using GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, PAW, SMAW, SAW.
• Repair parts of metal products by welding on extra layers.
• Conduct repairs, modifications and retrofits.
• Mentor apprentices and quality-check work.
