Job summary

Hansen Industries Ltd. in Richmond, BC is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our Sheet Metal Shop on the Afternoon shift. Responsibilities include setting up and operating welding equipment, reading shop drawings, inspecting welds, and repairing parts using GTAW/TIG and GMAW/MIG while maintaining a safe, productive work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend shop drawings and blueprints.
• Able to weld mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum with GTAW/TIG and GMAW/MIG.
• Creative and willing to learn.

Job description

Hansen Industries is looking to hire an experienced Welder/Fabricator to work in our Sheet Metal Shop for our Afternoon shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, adjust, operate and clean welding equipment, when needed.
• Follow job router drawings and other written or verbal instructions.
• Inspect completed welds.
• Repair faulty products using welding procedures.
• Competence in operating GTAW/TIG and GMAW/MIG welding.
• Ability to weld various thicknesses of material.
• Help in other areas.
• Maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications & requirements:

• Working experience in the Manufacturing environment.
• Minimum C level – ticket.
• Ability to read and comprehend shop drawings and blueprints.
• Able to weld mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum with GTAW/TIG and GMAW/MIG.
• Creative and willing to learn.

Shift Availability:

• Afternoons from 4:00 pm to 2:30 am.
• Monday to Thursday (Transit Available until 1:30 am).
• Friday, Saturday, and overtime available.
