Job summary

Rimex Supply Ltd. in Saskatoon is hiring a Welder for our Saskatoon branch. The full-time, 40-hour per week position may involve shift work. We offer competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package after probation.

Key duties include setting up, adjusting, and shutting down welding equipment; following drawings and instructions; repairing and inspecting welds; completing documentation; and maintaining a safe, clean workspace.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice or Red Seal Qualified.
• Lean 6S training is an asset.
• Crane, Rigging, and WHMIS training are assets.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and shut down welding equipment as needed.
• Follow job routers, drawings, and written/verbal instructions.
• Repair faulty product using welding procedures.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet company standards.
• Fill out paperwork for documentation purposes.
• Operate equipment safely and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Job description

RIMEX is the leading custom manufacturer of all off road wheel and rim assemblies. RIMEX’s primary markets include mining, forestry,agriculture and industrial equipment, specializing in haul trucks and loaders. RIMEX also offers a full range of complementary products to match their wheel counterparts.

Our continued growth and development has created a need for a Welder in our Saskatoon branch. The position is full time - 40 hours per week, with possible shift work. We offer competitive wages as well as a comprehensive benefit package after the completion of the probationary period.

Position requirements:

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and shut down welding equipment as needed
• Follow job routers drawings and other written or verbal instructions as directed
• Repair faulty product using welding procedures
• Inspect completed welds to ensure that they meet company standards
• Fill out the appropriate paperwork for documentation purposes
• Operate all equipment, including small hand tools and welding equipment, in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation,policies, and procedures
• General clean up of working area to help maintain a safe working environment

Education & Experience:

• Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice or Red Seal Qualified
• Lean 6S training an asset
• Crane, Rigging, and WHMIS training are considered an asset
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience as a labourer; or completed pre-apprenticeship training
