Job summary

W.F. Botkin is seeking a Welder & Fabricator for full-time employment at our shop in Regina, Saskatchewan. This role focuses on welding and fabrication work with some mechanical tasks when required.

The ideal candidate will hold a Journeyman Certificate (1st or 2nd year) and possess strong problem-solving abilities, plus the capacity to work independently or within a team while upholding safety standards. Hours are Monday to Friday, with some weekend overtime and potential travel.

Qualifications

• Journeyman certificate (1st or 2nd year) required.
• Ability to problem solve and work independently.
• Able to work with others and adapt to shift demands.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and hoists.
• Commitment to safety policies and regulations.
• Valid driver's license.

Job description

W.F. Botkin is currently seeking a Welder & Fabricator for full time employment at our shop in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Duties:

• Welding
• Fabrication work
• Some mechanical work when necessary (gearboxes, etc)

Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day
• Some weekend overtime work when required. Some travel may be required.

Required Skills:

• Journeyman Certificate 1st or 2nd year
• Ability to problem solve.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Ability to operate various pieces of heavy equipment, , hoists, and other handling machinery.
• Utilization of various equipment as needed.
• Adhere to workplace safety policies and regulations.
• Other duties as required.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 1st or 2nd year apprentice.
• Experience in routine equipment maintenance.
• Flexibility and strong interpersonal skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.
• Valid drivers license.
• Excellent time management skills.
