Job summary

Superior Farm seeks a Production Welder to join our Minnedosa manufacturing facility. The role covers MIG and electrode welding, fixture setup, and ensuring parts meet drawings and standards.

You will read engineering drawings, inspect materials, and repair discrepancies while maintaining a clean, safe work area and precise records in our time-keeping and process systems.

Qualifications

  • Grade XII education or equivalent is required.
  • Basic welding expertise with 2+ years experience preferred.
  • Welder certificate or ticket is an asset.
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings is required.
  • Manufacturing sector experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Weld component parts proficiently using MIG and electrode welders.
  • Set up welding fixtures and items as required.
  • Inspect incoming material and finish welding per drawings.
  • Repair any deficiencies found during inspection.
  • Welding must comply with applicable standards and procedures.
  • Ensure part is complete and ready for the next production step.
  • Guide and liaise with other employees in the work area.
  • Keep work area clean and hazard free.
  • Record information in time/attendance and process system.
  • Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner.
  • Use shop supplies properly.
  • Participate and pass a company internal welding test.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Superior Farm brings together the rich legacies and expertise of Rite Way Manufacturing and Morris Equipment Ltd., two western Canadian companies dedicated to providing quality, performance-based equipment for farmers worldwide.

We are recruiting to fill a full time Production Welder to join our team at our Manufacturing facility in Minnedosa, MB. The shift is Monday – Thursday, 10-hour days, Friday overtime when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welding component parts proficiently using MIG and electrode welders
  • Set up of welding fixtures and items as required
  • Inspect incoming material
  • Finish welding of assigned parts as per the drawings supplied for the specific part
  • Repair any deficiencies found during the inspection
  • Welding must be completed in accordance with applicable standards and procedures
  • Ensure part is complete and ready for the next step in the production process
  • Guiding and liaising with other employees in the work area
  • Ensuring that work area is kept clean and clear of hazards
  • Ensuring that correct information is recorded in time and attendance system, as well as the process system
  • Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner
  • Proper use of shop supplies
  • Participate and pass a company internal welding test
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Your Qualifications
  • Grade XII education (or equivalent)
  • Basic welding expertise required, 2+ years of welding experience preferred
  • Welders certificate or ticket an asset
  • Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings required
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector an asset
  • Ability to keep pace with new manufacturing technology and company requirements
