Job summary

Soudex Métal in Quebec is seeking an experienced welder to interpret welding specifications and operate manual, semi-automatic, or automated welding equipment on-site at our facility. You will read blueprints, weld parts, and perform minor repairs on equipment while ensuring weld quality meets standards.

CAD experience and ability to handle stainless steel and heavy metals are required. French language proficiency is required, with a college/CEGEP background or equivalent experience, and a valid

• Proficiency in welding and reading blueprints.
• 5+ years of welding experience or equivalent.
• CAD familiarity for fabrication tasks.

Responsibilities

• Interpret welding process specifications.

• Interpret welding process specifications

• Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
• Computer-aided design (CAD)
• Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
• Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC)

• Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
• Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
