Job summary

Tremcar is seeking an experienced welder for on-site fabrication in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. You will read weld blueprints, set up and operate welding equipment, and inspect welds to ensure conformance with specifications.

Candidates should have a 1–2 year technical credential and 2–3 years of welding experience in metal fabrication, including aluminum/stainless materials. On-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a college/CEGEP level credential in a 1–2 year program.
• Experience reading welding blueprints and interpretations is required.
• On-site work at the facility with no remote option.

Responsibilities

• Interpret welding process specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
• Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
• Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping machinery.
• Determine weldability of materials.
• Operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
• Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
