Job summary

Pro-Par, Inc. is seeking an on-site welder to interpret welding process specifications and operate a range of manual, semi-automatic and automated welding systems. You will read blueprints, inspect welds for quality, and perform brazing and torch-straightening as needed.

The role involves handling heavy metals, reading technical manuals, and using oxy-acetylene cutting equipment. On-site work requires strong attention to detail and physical stamina.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in welding.
  • On-site work with potential physical demands.
  • Ability to interpret welding specifications and blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret welding process specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal.
  • Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air).
  • Determine weldability of materials.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
  • Operate brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or fill holes and seams.
