Job summary

Inventure Engineering & Machinery Inc. is seeking a skilled welder/fabricator for our Barrie, Ontario operations. You will interpret welding specifications, read blueprints, and operate manual and automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, ability to read drawings, and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced setting. Candidates must be willing to work a full-time, on-site schedule with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years experience in welding/fabrication.
  • Knowledge of welding processes and safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret welding process specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
  • Read welding blueprints and specifications.
  • Examine welds to ensure standards are met.
  • Operate flame-cutting equipment.
  • Fabricate or repair metal parts using machineries.
  • Determine weldability of materials.
  • Support site safety and housekeeping.
