Job summary

Compass Group Canada in Saskatoon is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare, present and serve meals with a focus on quality and presentation. Shifts include 7am-3pm, 10am-6:30pm or 1pm-6:30pm, Saturday and Sunday only, with duties ranging from prep to serving and cashier duties.

Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation, portion control, stocking, and customer service. A FoodSafe Level 1 certification is preferred, and English communication is essential for instruction adherence and

FoodSafe Level 1 Certification.
Familiar with the use of a cash register is an asset.
Strong time management and organizational skills to manage heavy workload.
Ability to work independently and in a team as required.
Good command of English, verbal and written, and ability to follow instructions.
Previous food service experience in healthcare, hotel, restaurant or fast food is an asset.
Physical ability to perform duties.

Responsibilities

Prepare, present and serve meals, ensuring quality and presentation.
Perform prep work: wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits/vegetables.
Carry pans, kettles and trays to/from stations, stove and fridge per safety standards.
Store food properly with wrapping, dating and rotation procedures.
Set up items for purchase on a daily basis.
Maintain sanitation and safety compliance in all areas.
Provide service in all retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
Notify supervisor of any issues with food temperatures or service.
