Job summary

COMPASS GROUP CANADA is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare, present and serve meals with attention to quality and presentation. The role involves prep work, setting up daily items, cashiering, and maintaining sanitation.

Applicants should have FoodSafe Level 1, familiarity with cash registers is a plus, and strong English communication. Ability to work independently or in a team and prior food service experience are assets.

Qualifications

• FoodSafe Level 1 Certification.
• Familiar with the use of a cash register is an asset.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to manage heavy workload.
• Ability to work both independently and in team setting as required.
• Good command of English language, both verbal and written.
• Previous food service experience in healthcare, hotel, restaurant or fast food is considered an asset.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, present and serve meals, ensuring quality and presentation.
• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Set up items for purchase on daily basis.
• Provide service in all retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards throughout service.
• Assist as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and address concerns.
