Job summary

AAA Canada in Mirabel is seeking an aircraft lead to coordinate and monitor aircraft-related activities with clients and internal partners, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. The role emphasizes organization, responsiveness, and problem-solving in a high-stakes aerospace environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor degree in Logistics or related field (or a DEC in aeronautics with equivalent experience), 7+ years in manufacturing, strong leadership, and fluency in French.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or Project Management or DEC in aeronautics with relevant experience.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing processes, preferably on the A220.
• Knowledge of dependencies between different positions in a production setting.
• Strong leadership and process-improvement mindset.
• French required; English is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation, monitoring, and communication of the plan to close technical snags for each aircraft within schedule requirements.
• Prioritize access for stakeholders to ensure schedule adherence.
• Track and assist in resolving blockers across Operations teams; escalate when needed.
• Identify blockers and lead improvement projects to resolve them.
• Lead FOT meetings and contribute to monthly analyses and action tracking.
• Coordinate supplier catch-up plans and VL/DL plans as needed.
• Provide first-level on-site supplier support.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the preparation, monitoring, and communication of the plan to close technical snags for each aircraft in accordance with short-term schedule requirements;
• Prioritize and harmonize access for various stakeholders to ensure schedule adherence;
• Track and assist in resolving blockers for each aircraft (RNC, BOI, issues, etc.) by communicating with various Operations and Operations Support teams;
• Escalate blocking points if necessary, to the right people and at the right time;
• Identify process blockers and lead improvement projects to resolve them;
• Participate in E2EQG routines, in particular preparing and leading FOT meetings, and contribute to E2EQG monthly analyses and action tracking;
• Coordinate supplier catch-up plans when transverse to the Assembly line;
• Coordinate VL/DL plans when transverse to the Assembly line;
• Provide first-level support to on-site suppliers.

Profile sought:

• You have i) a Bachelor degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or Project Management, or ii) a DEC in aeronautics with equivalent professional experience;
• You have more than 7 years of experience in manufacturing processes, ideally on the A220;
• You have a general knowledge of dependencies between different positions;
• You have detailed knowledge of planning, logistics, quality, and production processes;
• You have strong leadership, are able to question processes, but also have a willingness to help your colleagues and other functions grow;
• You are proficient in French (mandatory) and comfortable in English (an asset)
