Job summary

Modern Niagara is seeking a Project Manager to lead water and wastewater projects in Toronto within the major projects team. You will manage budgets, schedules, and resources, coordinating with foremen, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure delivery on time and on budget.

You will also focus on maintaining client relationships, ensuring safety and quality standards, and contributing to pre-construction and forecasting activities in a dynamic field environment.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager in mechanical contracting (water/wastewater).
• Experience in process piping and reading construction drawings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and scheduling packages.
• Ability to plan and manage project schedules and budgets.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Office and field experience with safe, organized practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to hit targets.
• Procure equipment and subcontractors; bill and collect funds per KPI targets.
• Attend estimating, preconstruction, and post-construction meetings.
• Prepare monthly financial forecasting and project status reviews.
• Lead client and site meetings; relay information to crews and suppliers.
• Coordinate equipment and systems commissioning processes.
• Review contracts and scope during pre-construction planning.
• Monitor field progress and adjust labour plan with foremen.
• Uphold safety standards and maintain strong client relations.
