Job summary

CIMA+ invites an experienced Project Manager to lead municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Ontario. You will oversee design delivery, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and nurture client relationships while aligning with safety and budget standards.

You will mentor engineers, contribute to business development, and collaborate within a leading, shareholder-driven Canadian firm renowned for its strong safety culture and equal opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in consulting engineering, including project management of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or eligible for registration.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while delivering high-quality technical solutions on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project management and delivery of preliminary and detailed design projects for municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and linear infrastructure.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, health and safety, and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and provide leadership to technical staff to ensure successful project execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal clients, stakeholders, and project partners while serving as a trusted advisor.
• Monitor project performance, proactively identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
• Manage project financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, invoicing, and resource planning.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff, fostering collaboration and professional development.
• Contribute to business development activities by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, participating in client meetings, and supporting strategic growth initiatives.
