Job summary

Envirosearch Operations Inc. is seeking a Water/Wastewater Treatment Operator to maintain plants and associated plumbing, ensuring a clean community water supply and compliant effluent.

The role requires MECP Water and Sewage licenses (OWWCO) with OIT certificates and will involve travel across the Oshawa–Cobourg area. Duties include monitoring processes, sampling, dosing, inspection, and safety compliance; on-call emergencies may be required.

Qualifications

• MECP licenses required with OIT certificates for water/wastewater.
• Must work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid G driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to safely handle 25 kg chemical pails/bags.
• Experience mentoring others is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor treatment processes: screening, aeration, clarification, disinfection, lagoon systems.
• Sample water and wastewater and perform onsite process analysis.
• Perform dosing calculations and adjust dosing rates.
• Inspect and service treatment plant components and control systems.
• Maintain logs and work orders; communicate site changes and emergencies.
• Support safety practices and respond to emergency calls.

Education

MECP Water and Sewage licenses (OWWCO). Minimum Operator-In-Training certificates for water and wastewater treatment
