Job summary

Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) is seeking an Operations Coordinator in Mississauga to direct, operate and maintain all equipment in a Class 4 wastewater facility. The role requires coordinating O&M activities and leading teams, with on-call and shift work as part of a rotation.

A Class 1 certification and a valid Class G license are mandatory. OCWA offers a defined benefit pension, comprehensive health plans, life and disability insurance, plus maternity and parental leave top-ups.

Qualifications

• Must hold a minimum Class 1 certification specific to the facility and achieve the highest level.
• Valid Class G driver’s license.
• Willing to work overtime, be on-call after hours, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Direct, procure, operate and maintain all equipment systems in a Class 4 wastewater treatment facility.
• Coordinate operations and maintenance activities and provide leadership to ops/maintenance teams.
• Provide control room coverage and assist with troubleshooting related to level, pressure, flows, and chemical dosing.
