Job summary

Ontario Public Service / OCWA is seeking a technically skilled professional to maintain and operate an advanced water treatment facility and distribution system in Mississauga. You will oversee repair work on mechanical, electrical, and process control equipment, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, ability to work rotating shifts, and collaboration with a dedicated team dedicated to delivering safe drinking water across Ontario.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain Trades license as a Millwright and/or other trades certificates preferred.
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent as recognized by MOE.
• Ability to obtain Operator in Training (OIT) per O.Reg. 129/04 of the Ontario Water Resources Act.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair equipment in an advanced water treatment facility and distribution system.
• Operate, inspect, and oversee complex water system equipment and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Work independently or with a team to ensure safe and reliable water operations.
