Job summary

Mueller Water Products, a leading manufacturer of flow control devices for water distribution, seeks an Outside Sales Representative for Atlantic Canada (NL, NS, NB, PEI). Primary duties include building relationships, meeting with clients, and delivering solutions with a consultative approach.

A base salary plus commissions is offered, along with a company car and benefits. Ideal candidates have a university degree or college diploma and at least five years in field sales within water works.

Qualifications

• University degree or college diploma in Business Administration or Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years field sales experience in water works or related industries.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative approach).
• Strong communication and organizational skills; able to work independently within a team.

Responsibilities

• Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers in the territory.
• Call on and schedule appointments with customers.
• Develop strategies to maximize value-added solutions for end users.
• Prepare quotations as required.
• Establish product specifications with municipalities and consulting engineers.
• Respond to customer issues and requests.
• Set sales goals and specification objectives to meet budget.
• Communicate effectively with management and inside sales.
