Job summary

Whistler’s Utilities department is seeking a Supervisor, Utilities - Wastewater to oversee the EOCP Level IV Wastewater Treatment and EOCP Level III Collection systems, the District Energy System, and landfill closure assets.

You will lead a diverse team of operators, maintenance personnel, sub-contractors and consultants to ensure compliant, efficient operation, day and night, in a high-demand resort environment.

Qualifications

• Two-year post-secondary program in wastewater operations or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years managing wastewater treatment and collection systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret engineering documents.
• Valid BC Class 5 driver's license with satisfactory abstract.

Responsibilities

• Supervise WWTP and collection system operations.
• Lead operators, maintenance staff, sub-contractors and consultants.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory permits and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with consultants and respond to emergencies as needed.
