AQUATECH is seeking an Operations Supervisor WWTP Level 2 to lead the Water & Wastewater operations in Wheatland County, east of Calgary. You will oversee daily activities, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with regulatory monitoring and reporting requirements.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a stable, essential-service industry. This position offers growth opportunities within Canada’s largest private water and wastewater operator.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level II WWTP / Level II Water Distribution and Level I Collection certifications.
• Experience supervising operational staff.
• Ability to lift 25 kg (55 lb).
• Strong mechanical knowledge.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Positive, proactive leader focused on safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of water operators and staff.
• Oversee regulatory monitoring, reporting, and process adjustments.
• Provide operational support and troubleshooting.
• Mentor and coach staff; conduct evaluations.
• Maintain inventory and control of spare parts and chemicals.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
• Ensure health and safety program compliance.
• Escalate operational issues to clients as needed.
